Lance Armstrong 1971-2007

Lance Armstrong died yesterday, October 3rd, at the young age of 36. He was attempting a new land speed record on a bike in Bonneville Utah at the salt flats. He was half way through the ride when suddenly he fell over. The cause of his death is still unknown.
Armstrong was a cancer survivor and champion of the Tour de France seven years in a row. His incredible strength and abilities were so unbelievable that he was drug tested several times even though no evidence of drugs was ever found. I doubt there will ever be another athlete with his strenth and endurance.
Armstrong was survived by his mother Linda, ex-wife Kristin, and his three children Luke Isabelle, and Grace. Funeral services will be held in his home town of Austin Texas later in the week.

Emily, I really liked your lead sentance and how it was set up for the obituary. I would watch out when putting your own opinion in the story. Good job !
